At the end of this term, the Heart for Art Team has arranged excursions and special activities for all the classes to close of the term for the short October holidays. The younger classes received a puppet show by the Two Oceans Aquarium where they all gathered in the school hall and learned about the importance of recycling plastic and avoid littering to protect our oceans.

The older children from our heart for art classes managed to get to the Norval Foundation Art Museum. They received a guided tour around the gallery and museum and also the sculpture garden. The Norval Foundation is dedicated to its mission by including school groups in order to broaden art education and was kind enough to offer to the Butterfly Art Project sponsored tours. The children responded well and it was a great first time experience for them.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank the Norval Foundation Team and to the Two Ocean Aquarium team for making these opportunities available!

What a lovely way to end the term! The mix of art, environmental education, and real-world experiences sounds especially meaningful for the children. Activities like these always remind me how valuable hands-on learning can be, whether it’s painting, recycling projects, or even baking together at home. For the latter, I’ve found https://grams-to-cups.org/ useful when a recipe gives ingredient weights in grams but I only have measuring cups.

What a wonderful initiative. The visit to the Norval Foundation and sculpture garden must have given the children so much inspiration, and it’s great to see art education extended beyond the classroom. Trips like these usually produce plenty of photos too; when preparing pictures for a school website or sharing them with families, I’ve found the image tools at https://go-tools.org/ useful for reducing large image files without much hassle.

I really appreciate that the Two Oceans Aquarium taught the younger classes about recycling and protecting our oceans – such a vital lesson! Beyond the art and environmental education, it's always great to find other engaging activities for kids, and the MeowdoKu Game Free Online is a fun way to keep their minds active.

It's fantastic that the Norval Foundation is dedicated to broadening art education by including school groups like this! Seeing how well the children responded, it's inspiring to think about how they could even extend their creativity further, perhaps by trying out something like Zeva AI For Text to Image Generator to visualize new concepts.

It sounds like the children had an amazing time, especially the older ones visiting the Norval Foundation Art Museum and its sculpture garden. If anyone took photos on their iPhones that ended up as HEIC files and needs to share them more widely, a site like free heic to pdf is useful for converting them.
