We have completed our
Manifesting the New Art Campaign!
A special thank you goes out to all our supporters, donors, staff, CAFs and most importantly, our beneficiaries, for their contributions which ensured that this year's campaign and exhibition, was a huge success.
About Manifesting the New...
The art campaign, “Manifesting the New,” designed by the Butterfly Art Project team, offered Community Art Facilitators (CAFs) an opportunity to be part of a 7-month long project that includes 4 x 3hr workshops of training, 8 weeks of implementation with children from disadvantaged communities, CAFs online mentoring (one on one/group) and an exhibition.
The indirect beneficiaries of this project were children and youth that were taught by our CAFs, whom were mentored throughout the art campaign. The mentoring process encouraged implementation and helped BAP to monitor the effectiveness of our training.
The exhibition showcased all final artworks and documentation of the process of the art campaign. All our CAF participants and their beneficiaries were invited to see their work professionally displayed in a public exhibition space: the Zeitz Mocaa This instilled pride and provided a link to an art buying society which disadvantaged beneficiaries rarely have access to.
